The Field

Finished all my Bible College assignments for the trimester...with a whole two days to spare! So I went and played golf this morning :)

Mt 13:44 "The kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field. When a man found it, he hid it again, and then in his joy went and sold all he had and bought that field. "
When the man found the treasure he pursued it at all costs. Nothing held him back, he poured his entire life into getting the treasure.
When most of us discover the kingdom of heaven and a relationship with Jesus we are like that man...for a little while. Then we forget about the value of the treasure we've obtained. And we're not prepared to get it or keep it at all costs. And when we feel God calling us to something or to go somewhere we're prepared to follow him at any cost. I wonder what God is calling us to give up so that we can follow him?
